Artisan Effects - Salt Impasto

Artisan Salt Impasto is a powder additive that gives Natural Chalk Finish added texture and depth. Perfect to give that authentic weathered, salty, rustic textured look.

Mix with paint colour of choice to achieve the desired thickness.  Apply to your project to create a textured look (stipple paint for more texture) and allow to set for 10-20 minutes.  Pass a dry brush over the surface to slightly flatten any large lumps. Once dry, continue with additional colours and layers of paint. Wet sand with fine sandpaper (220 grit) to reveal layered colours.  Pairs well with waxes, glaze and dry brushing.
